ANETT SOSNA

I have been traveling around the world since I was 15 years old. Since then, I have visited 42 countries, mostly outside Europe. I have extensive experience living abroad. I myself have lived in countries like Tanzania, Senegal, Peru and Belgium. I graduated in International Development and Humanitarian Studies. I have undergone military survival training, which taught me that it's all in my head. I lived in a Tanzanian hut with farmers, where I experienced what it was like to live without water and electricity, but still keep a smile on my face. In Senegal, I worked on a flagship Czech project to build modular airports, where I learned that it is possible to build airports in desert conditions even where no one would expect it. During my life in Peru, I learned that the only thing that matters are relationships. When relationships don't work, nothing works. I became an EU diplomat in Belgium, where I got a deep taste of political life and switched between four languages ​​in my head every day. I love challenges and never give up.

JAKUB SOSNA

Since I was 7 years old, I have been devouring geographical encyclopedias. Even back then, as a little boy, I told myself that I would visit all the continents and, if possible, every country in the world. I have visited 46 countries so far. I love mountains and nature. During my travels, I climbed to the top of Mount Ararat, trekked in Chilean Patagonia, slept with Berbers in Mauritania, and crisscrossed Cuba. My favorite parts of the world are the Middle East and Muslim countries in general. I lived in Senegal for a long time, but what enriched me the most was my life in New Zealand, where I learned what it was like to live upside down and work in everyday comfort and ease, surrounded by mountains. I love adventure and I am a great crisis manager.

SOSNA´S FAMILY

We have known each other since we were 15 years old. We lived our whole lives in the Beskydy Mountains, 30 km apart. During that time, everyone set out into the world on their own axis. Until one morning, Jakub woke up in New Zealand, where he lived, and contacted Anett again. She had just gone to bed in Senegal after a hard day's work. They were separated by 20.000 km and a 13-hour time difference. Jakub invited Anett across the world on a date. He gave her the choice of choosing any country in the world where they would meet. Halfway between New Zealand and Senegal, Thailand emerged. 
And so our story together began :-)  

We have had a great love for traveling since we were little. Our favorite school subject was geography, and we were both proud owners of a globe. Yes, that big blue globe that stood on the desk and distracted us from doing our homework. This is how the first dreams and wishes arose, what we would like to visit and experience one day.

Years passed, the first part-time jobs became available, and we started earning money to fulfill our dreams. Anett sold blueberries and Jakub sorted shipments for a shipping company. With the money they earned, everyone traveled around Europe in different ways and, over time, to more distant destinations. Anett experienced her first real adventure outside the borders of Europe to South Africa. Jakub flew off to explore the beauties of South American Peru. It was 2016 and old dreams and wishes began to come true. We traveled up to 6 times a year and gained invaluable experience. After some time, our loved ones and their friends started contacting us asking for help in compiling itineraries all over the world. It was amazing to see how many people from our area wanted to exchange Egypt with a travel package for an adventure on the other side of the world that they could enjoy on their own, without a delegate, but with our support and detailed planning of their trip. It also turned out that the Czechs are a nation of people who enjoy discovering the world around them, who love new tastes and learning about other cultures. This is how the idea came to establish SOS Travel, a project that will help people get to know our planet without having to buy overpriced tours from travel agencies. A project that will awaken the sleeping adventurer in everyone.

Since 2016, we have visited more than 85 countries. Traveling has become our passion and we are grateful to live in a time when we can have breakfast at home in the Beskydy Mountains in the morning and go for delicious Tacos in Mexico City in the evening. The world is accessible like never before, so travel with us with a smile and without fear!
